Moose Material Kits provide activities and games which can be used to provide students with targeted practice and reinforcement in the areas of phonics, vocabulary, and fluency. Suggestions for using the materials to develop phonological awareness skills are included. While comprehension is not directly addressed, as children develop accuracy and automaticity with decoding skills they will be able to focus their attention on understanding what they read.
The materials for each Moose Kit come in a plastic box for organization and easy storage. Two handmade wooden card holders are included to help students hold cards while playing games.
