Purpose: To practice reading 1, 2, and 3 syllable real or nonsense words. Moose cards are interspersed in the decks to create a game that delights children as they practice and gain mastery of their word attack skills.
Activities: Place cards in an overturned pile. Students take turns picking cards and reading words. When players turns over a card with the picture of a moose, they “snatch” the cards from the other players. The player with the most cards wins
