Purpose: To practice reading decodable words in phrases and sentences.
Description: Each item includes a colorful 11X17 game board and two decks of cards, one made up of phrases and the other of sentences. Game pieces are included and zipper bags, allow for easy storage of materials for each item.
Activities: Students read either a phrase card or a sentence card, roll a die, and move on the game board. Repeated readings of phrases and sentences give additional practice. Sentences can be read in phrases to improve fluency. Phrases and sentences reinforce the vocabulary presented in Match It: Vocabulary activities.
