Purpose: To read and match -cle words with open, closed, and silent "e", r-controlled syllable types.

Description: Depending on the game, fronts of cards have a word and a number. Games can be played with 2-4 players. A colorful illustration of a “Crazy Moose” is on the backs of all cards.

Activities: Prior to playing the games, students can sort -cle cards by open, closed, and silent "e", r-controlled, and vowel team types, as they place them under category cards. When playing Crazy Moose, students match the syllable type or the number on the card, to the overturned card on the top of the discard pile. Crazy Moose cards allow students to change the sound to be played. Decks can also be used for reading and spelling drills. Similar to Crazy Eights.
