Two Decks: CVC Deck 1: t and d in 3 letter words, Blend Deck 2: t and d in words with blends.
Purpose: To practice discriminating and substituting the /t/ and /d/ sounds in words. To read and spell words with t and d.
Procedure: Teacher can read words and student listen and identify the /t/ or /d/ sound and pointing to the corresponding letter. Students can also write the letter (t or d) which represents the sound heard in the word. They can read and sort the words under the t and d label cards and spell and write them in the corresponding column (t or d). Finally, students play I Have. Do you have?, saying “I have tip. Do you have dip?". This game is similar to Go Fish.
